Notes:
Pattern worked in US terms.
Gauge doesnt matter overall. The sizing of the pattern is increased until the diameter of the hat is at the desired measurement. Feel free to add more or less increases to reach that desired size.
Repeat instructions in ** for x times.
End row count in [ ]
Hat:
At the end of every round, slst into the first HDC.
At the start of every round, ch 1
1. MC, 8 Hdc [8]
2. Inc each stitch around [16]
3. *Inc, Hdc* x8 [24]
4. *Inc, 2 Hdc* x8 [32]
5. *Inc, 3 Hdc* x8 [40]
6. *Inc, 4 Hdc* x8 [48]
7. *Inc, 5 Hdc* x8 [56]
8. *Inc, 6 Hdc* x8 [64]
9. *Inc, 7 Hdc* x8 [72]
10. *Inc, 8 Hdc* x8 [80]
11. *Inc, 9 Hdc* x8 [88]
The diameter here should match desired head size. Keep increasing if larger is needed.
12. In BLO- Hdc each stitch around [88]
13-26. Hdc each stitch around [88]
Hat should sit just above the ears at this point.
27. *Inc, 3 Hdc* Repeat around, It's OK if you end without a full repetition, this is mostly to start the brim.
28. *Inc, 4 Hdc* same as the previous row.
29. *Inc, 5 Hdc*
30. Hdc around.
